Day 1: Hanoi - Halong (-/L/D)

Morning pick up from your hotel by private car for a 3 ½ hour drive to  Halong with a short break on the way. Arrive in Halong around 11:30 a.m.. Welcome on board the Halong Ginger and set sail through the bay while lunch is served. Passage is into the magical bay, where thousands of sculpted limestone islands rise from the waves like dragons’ teeth.

After lunch, take a short trek to a nearby summit for a panoramic view of the bay which is dotted with Halong Ginger's golden sails and other watercraft, go swimming on a quiet beach, or sunbathe on the sundeck.
Later in the afternoon, visit an interesting fishing village, Cua Van, with the opportunity to interact with fishermen who have been living in the bay for almost three generations.
At sunset, kayak or simply take a bamboo row boat to discover a water tunnel, Hang Doi, with many coral reefs in the scenic lagoon. Back on board the Halong Ginger, enjoy cocktails while watching the sunset and later unwind at the Ginger restaurant.( B,L,D)

Day 2: Halong - Hanoi (Brunch Buffet)
Greet the day with a morning Tai Chi exercise with an opportunity to view the sunrise over the bay. After coffee or tea, visit Sung Sot Cave, a beautiful limestone grotto, then return to the junk boat.
A buffet brunch is served at 9:00 a.m.  Enjoy the last glimpses of the Halong Bay as we cruise back to the dock, transfer by private vehicle to Hanoi, and arrive at your hotel around 4:00 p.m..End of the tour.
